TITLE: FRIENDS
TYPE OF PROGRAM: POP CULTURE
TIME: 55 MINUTES
PREPARATION: WATCHING AN EPISODE OF THE AMERICAN PROGRAM
OBJECTIVE:
1. To let the learner understand the expressions used and also with the vocabularies used in the program.
2. To explain the different symbols (colors, signs, letters etc) presented in the program.
3. To let the student have his/her own criticism of the program.
4. To discuss the script of the program/ movie.
ACTIVITIES:
1. Presentation of the script.
2. Discussion of the details of the program/movie- explanation
EXTRA ACTIVITIES:
1. HOMEWORK: Sentence construction using the different expressions and or vocabularies used in the movie.
2. Preview of the next episode.
METHOD OF TEACHING:
1. Let the student watch the episode/series before attending the class.
2. During the class, let the student have their own interpretation of the program by giving their own idea of what had happened during the show.
3. Discuss the episode by cutting the scenes (like scene 1, 2..) following the script so the student will be guided on what to do.
4. Let the student have a copy of the script so he/she will also be guided on particular scenes.

TITLE: ALL ABOUT HALLOWEEN
TYPE OF PROGRAM: THEME LESSON
TIME: 55 MINUTES
PREPARATION: NONE
OBJECTIVE:
1. To introduce Halloween to the students which some Asian countries don’t normally celebrate.
2. To let the student learn vocabularies related to Halloween.
3. To inform them about the different activities being done during this event.
4. To have an interaction of the different events and or activities in the student’s country too.
ACTIVITIES:
1. Vocabulary matching
2. True or false activity about Halloween
3. Answering the table in the lesson
4. Discussion of the different things that students need to know about Halloween.
EXTRA ACTIVITIES:
1. HOMEWORK: Sentence construction using the different expressions and or vocabularies used in the discussion.
2. HOMEWORK: Story writing about one of the most celebrated festival in the student’s place.
METHOD OF TEACHING:
1. Introduce some vocabularies about Halloween and let the student define these words.
2. Ask about the different festivals in their country and have time to discuss these festivals before sending the worksheet.
3. Guide the student in doing the vocabulary match.
4. Have a discussion about the Halloween written in the worksheet and then let the student answer the activities provided for.
